Check here for tickets, you will not be disappointed.On Sunset, the new album from Paul Weller, was just released on July 3, but the U.K. The tour is now heading to the West Coast where it will come to an end for 2017. Showing that he is adaptable across the decades without losing his own sound, Weller still draws the crowds to see him. There was something for everyone, pleasing fans of every era of his career. ![]() “You Do Something To Me” saw Weller put down the guitar and take to the keyboard for the Stanley Road classic, which had the whole of the Music Hall singing along.įans of his older works were treated to The Style Council’s “Shout To The Top!” and “Have You Ever Had It Blue”, along with “Start!” from his days with The Jam. “Woo Sé Mama” from the newest album is an upbeat number which had the audience dancing, clearly enjoying the night and showing an appreciation for the new songs. ![]() The night, however, tended to concentrate on his more recent material, whilst fondly remembering some of the hits of yesteryear. Whilst the Chicago crowd missed out of the iconic “A Town Called Malice”, they were treated to “Broken Stones” and “The Changingman” to round out the night. So far on the tour, he appears to be mixing things up each night. With such an expansive back catalog it must be difficult to fit everything into one set. Weller’s latest album, A Kind Revolution, was released back in May of this year and is impressively his thirteenth solo album. Making the most of the rare opportunity of getting to catch him live in concert, some fans had also traveled from out of State to see him. There was a strong British contingent in the house supporting their legendary fellow countryman. “Long Time” was one of the rockier songs which allowed him to break loose with the heavier, grittier riffs. Throughout the night, Weller showcased his guitar prowess. If you like beautiful harmonic voices and a stripped back sound, this is certainly an album you should check out. Lucy released her third album, Something’s Changing, in July which she took the majority of her setlist from. Letting the music do the talking, her angelic tone and emotive songs soon endeared her to the audience.
